On October 16th the 2009 Class gathered for it's first official session. The day was spent learning about and answering "What is NH". Thanks to Peter Francese, Ross Gittell and Steve Norton for sharing their expertise relative to our State's demography and economy.
As I came away from the day, I asked myself "What Would I like NH to Be". Thoughts?
I thought the session was very thought provoking and I learned a lot of DETAILED information about the state, some of which challenged my assumptions. Not surprisingly, our ability to shift trends in this state are more complex than I had assumed. Seems like a large freighter trying to turn around. If we want to preserve what we value about NH, we will have to make the effort to accomplish it. Once again, I enjoyed getting to know my classmates better. It was fun seeing many of you at the NH Humanities annual meeting.
