What was the most interesting thing that you learned at the Retreat? What surprised you the most? What, for you, was the most memorable moment? Was the Retreat what you had envisioned?
I had a great time starting to get to know everyone in the past couple days. Everyone is so open and friendly. Biggest surprise for me is how distinguished so many of you are.
Looking forward to digging into the different areas and hearing how everyone would work to solve them.
I thought the two days were great for bonding and meeting people and I look forward to getting to know everyone better over the course of the year. I also found a lot of the exercises fun, challenging and exactly what we needed to learn about and support each other. And then I also had this thought: Sometimes a balloon is just a balloon. See you all in October!
Balloons, maybe, however I've found metaphorical inspirations in several of my household chores - weeding, in particular. Imagine the tap root weeds as the big box stores affecting your local commerce. (If anyone does not have gardens and would like to try this - come on over!)
Thanks to Kate, Edda and the Merrowvista staff for organizing an intriguing and effective two days to kick off our adventure.
I am amazed that I made connections with so many of my classmates. And it was only the luck of the draw (teams, seating, etc.)that prevented me from bonding with everyone. This is an incredible crew of people. I look forward to this year.
So, we didn't get to talk much about the things we did off the list to learn more about NH. I have to say that my outings were among the highlights of my summer. I went to the Isles of Shoals and the Sunapee Craftsman's Fair. For my pics and my thoughts you can go to my blog at http://netzhammers.blogspot.com. And if you're interested in my thoughts on the wide range of cultural events I go to, you can find that on my other blog at http://melonmedia.blogspot.com. Anyone else want to share what they did?
Hi all, I see this blog is taking off like crazy.... mmmmm. Quick question. What did Ross Gittell mean when he said the boomers need to move over to make room for twenty-somethings? Do I go to get a job at Burger King now?

Tried in vain to explain the helium pole disaster to my colleagues. Fear I have lost the respect of all and may be pulled from the class.
